2024 Player Evaluations
We are excited to announce that Raptors Baseball will be conducting our annual player evaluation for 7U and the 9U to 13/14U age groups on January 21, 2024 at the MAC recreation center. This is a pivotal process to ensure balanced teams and a competitive environment for the upcoming season.
Please note that this year, we will not be holding evaluations for 6U or 8U age groups.
The evaluation is mandatory for the following:
- All new players
- Those who played at the AA National level in 2023 and are seeking to advance to AA American
- Those uncertain of their team placement for 2024.
Returning players are exempt only if their coach has confirmed their roster spot with the Raptors Baseball Executive Board.
Emails will be sent out by Friday, January 12, 2024 confirming if your player's attendance is required.
The evaluations will be carried out by Raptors coaches and are scheduled to last approximately two hours per age group, encompassing Hitting, Pitching, Infield and Outfield Skills, as well as Quickness. It is crucial for players to be assessed within their own age group to ensure accurate evaluation data.
To maintain an environment conducive to focus and assessment, the evaluation is closed and we will not allow observation at the evaluations, with the exception of the 7U Division. This will allow coaches to evaluate players without external distractions.
There will be no alternate dates or make-up times for the evaluation. Failure to attend will result in the player being placed on a National level team, barring the previously mentioned exception.
The evaluations are set for January 21, 2024, at the Miller Athletic Complex. The schedule is coordinated with the Raptors Baseball Camps at Front Range Baseball Academy to avoid conflicts. Further details regarding exact times for each age group are as follows:
8AM - 10AM 11U
10AM - 12PM 10U
12PM - 2PM 9U
2PM - 4PM 7U
4PM - 6PM 12U
6PM - 8PM 13/14U
